Brendan has been practicing law and helping people since 1993. He formed Pickett Dummigan McCall LLP in 2003 with his longtime friend and mentor, Randy Pickett. Brendan is a trial lawyer and he has tried over 100 cases and successfully resolved thousands more.
Brendan was inspired to become a lawyer when he was traveling and backpacking throughout South America. He met several attorneys who would go into rural communities to help poor farmers protect their livelihoods and their land from wealthy businesses that would try to take advantage of them. This experience has deeply influenced his philosophy in practicing law. Brendan is committed to helping people who don’t have the means or understanding to navigate the complex court system. He especially enjoys speaking fluent Spanish to represent people who struggle with English and other communication barriers.
In addition to representing his clients, he also teaches other personal injury lawyers at continuing legal education seminars. Brendan is an educator at heart. He realizes the importance of education and volunteers his time as a speaker for the “Drop Out Prevention” program at various Portland middle schools. He has also been invited to speak at his local high school to teach students about their legal rights. His natural ability as a teacher makes it easy for his clients to understand what the law is and make educated decisions.
When he isn’t practicing law, Brendan spends time with his wife and two sons. He has supported the neighborhood elementary school his two sons attended and has volunteered as a soccer coach for the Irvington Soccer Club. He is a regular bicycle commuter, rain or shine, and enjoys a regular yoga practice as well as scaling and skiing the Northwest’s volcanoes and the western mountain ranges of Utah and Colorado.
