About

Hannah Shilling

Hannah is a passionate attorney dedicated to using the law as a tool for community service and social justice. Guided by a deep sense of purpose, she takes pride in helping her neighbors access the fair treatment and justice they deserve.

Before becoming a lawyer, Hannah worked as a housing social worker, where she witnessed firsthand the challenges that vulnerable tenants face when navigating complex housing systems. This experience inspired her to pursue a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. During her time there, she discovered her love for litigation while representing tenants in housing proceedings and serving as a student attorney with the Civil Rights Litigation Initiative’s reproductive freedom and racial justice projects.

After earning her law degree, Hannah returned to her home state to clerk for the Honorable Bronson D. James of the Oregon Supreme Court. Her time with the court deepened her understanding of appellate practice and the importance of crafting thoughtful litigation strategies from the outset of a case. She is excited to bring this insight and commitment to her work at Pickett Dummigan Weingart.

Outside the office, Hannah enjoys exploring the outdoors and connecting with her community. Whether she’s running, hiking, skiing, or climbing, she embraces every opportunity to enjoy Oregon’s natural beauty. She also loves painting, cooking, playing games with friends, and relaxing by the river to spot birds and other wildlife.
